Gratitude

symptoms, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic
about the upcoming week compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral life
events (Emmons & McCullough, 2003). It doesn’t end there … read more.

This is the premise behind the Bank of America student leader program. Applications due Jan. 25, 2012. For application and nomination information, go to www.bankofamerica.com/neistudentleaders.
The program helps students gain a greater understanding of how nonprofits create impact in the community, and helps develop them as the next generation of community leaders through:
· An eight-week, paid summer internship with local nonprofit (Host) organizations which provides opportunities for students to develop and apply leadership skills through hands-on work experience, while raising their awareness of community issues addressed by their Host Organization.
· A week-long, all-expense paid Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., in July. Conducted in partnership with the Close Up Foundation, the summit introduces students to aspects of civic, social and business leadership and provides them with knowledge and skills they will use throughout their life to create positive community change.
If you would like posters to help advertise the program, please contact Elisa Freitag at elisa.m.freitag@bankofamerica.com with your mailing address and requested quantity.
